do you need to have this a certain amount of time i.e a year before you are able to cancel it or can u cancel at anytime

Sky's normal minimal term is 12 months, guessing this applies to any new service you take with them.

You are contracted for the 1st 12 months and then iirc its a rolling 1 month contract after that so just 30days notice is needed.
