Sky player subscriptions

So, ive been doing some searching...

I cant actually get sky at my house due to trees outside block the reception, however "sky player" may be the way forward.

I can pay £38 just like every1 else and watch sky on my laptop via broadband, equally can hook my laptop up to my tv and watch it on there...

Has anyone else done this ? (brought a "sky player subsciption") does it work just as good as if the laptop was the set top box?

They only have a selection of about 12 channels currently I think.

Also not sure if sky player has a standalone subscription, you may need to already have sky.

Your right about the 12 channels part...

However there is a sky player subscription which is the same as sky on your tv = crap!

how big are the trees mate? could u put it on a pole to give it some height? i work for sky and u can always get a signal even if its in the garden
