Sleepers

Car  MK3 Sport Tourer TCE
I fancy replacing my '1.6 16V' side badges with the standard '16V' ones.

I have a 5dr privelige with naff interior to complete the grandad going to tesco look.

Anyone else taken steps to make their car look more basic? :)

ive put 1.2 badges on my mk1 hybrid witch is pretty much tottally stripped altho if anyone falls for it there retards its still a giggle.

have seen a white escort van badged as 1.8D go flying past we with the sound of a dump valve. think it was a rs turbo lump. bet thats fun

I have a 5 door with a 172 engine :) complete with 16v badges. alwaaaaaaaaaays a bit of fun!

search the threads and it'll come up, 5 door 182. I darent look at the total cost, most of it was done by myself and kept the cost down. To do it you would be lookin at close to 3k i would imagine, with the options of decreasing the price wherever you can

Matt Black off here had a nice sleeper. 1.2 shell with a 1.8T engine from an S3 tuned to 400+bhp with 6 speed and LSD lol

Not done anything to my 182 but my old 220gsi turbo (with forged engine) had a 214i badge on the back rearranged to 214!

Surprised a few people to say the least lol

My mate has just converted a 1.2 16v corsa B.. He has dumped a 2.0 litre red top in it and badged it up as a 1.0 litre.. Hes also put a VXR badge on the back just to be extra chavvy.. Its a proper sleeper, always get the odd rude boys thinking they are fast in their 1.2's and 1.4's. The look on their faces is priceless when you leave em for dead.. Best feeling imo..

Theres a 1.2 nova beside me with a Redtop in, with breaks and suspension uprated, it looks totaly standard unless for the differnt wheels.

when i had myy corsa i was going to LET it and keep 1.2 badges . that would be so funny. but went for a 172 instead. Much wiser choice

1.6 Clios are still slow tho, so it does seem a bit silly.

You should only do it when theres a massive difference between what you have and what you're pretending to have.

True I guess, I'm still doing it though :)

I'd do it mate then when idiots like me in 1.2 16V's fancy a race you'll smoke the and leave them confused. wishing i'd have got atleast the 1.4 16v now but i like my car becuase its tidy, decent spec and was very cheap.

I got the cheapest 1.6 i could find but regret it a bit cos the interior needs a lot of TLC.

Wish I'd kept my 1.2 in a way cos it was in awesome condition. But the extra power keeps me happy, I can always work on the interior over time.
