Slight Knocking

I know there are about 100 posts relating to various knocks, creaks and bangs (one of the joy's of French cars it seems) but i'm not sure which relates to me.

I'm getting a small knocking noise coming from the right front side of the car when lifting off or accelerating in 1st or 2nd. It only seems to happen at slow speeds ie. up to 20mph say and it doesn't if I accelerate very smoothly and slowly. It's not a continuous noise and I have to be listening for it with the stereo and blowers off to hear it properly.

Any ideas? I'm having a 24K service in about 10 days time so it could be sorted then if its anything to worry about.

Do a search for engine mounts posts by benp he wrote a bit od a guide on what to do else you'll need a new engine mount depends how bad your is position or wear wise.
