Mine had this (172) Turned out to be a coked up Spark Plug and throttle Body, Just whipped them out and gave them a clean and was fine.

It could be the Coil Pack, HT leads or as said Spark Plugs.

Pull the leads off one by one and if the revs start to drop you should be able to eliminate which spark/Ht lead may be faulty.

I had this problem a couple of weeks ago, replaced the 4 spark plugs at a cost of £20 and got a new coil pack as they are religiously known to fail on the renaults

always worth a new set of plugs IMO. The service interval stated by renault is incredibly long and they're quite often not in good condition at half the recommended change interval
