Slight Ticking noise?

Hi all,

Just brought a clio 182 which has had a engine rebuild by a Renault specialist and also cam-belt/dephaser pulley done at the same time.

When vehicle is started (cold) there’s a very small ticking noise. Once engine is at operating temp it is absolutely fine. Vehicle drives spot on aswell

Just wondering if this is a normal engine sound? As I’ve worked on the Ford/Honda engines and they seem to do this at idle?

Just hoping there’s nothing seriously wrong or on its way out

Is it coming from the driver's side wheel arch area?

If so, it'll be the carbon canister.

Yeh it’s coming on the drivers side, worried it’s dephaser? But the noise doesn’t sound to bad
