Smart repair or respray

I need a bumper scuff fixing (corner of front bumper) and was just going to use a smart repair guy, I was speaking to a friend who said I would be better of paying more for a proper re spray. What are people’s opinions on smart repairs?

smart repairs are just bodge jobs IMO

if something needs spraying then you should always spray the entire panel, also IMO

blending into bumpers etc just vastly increases the chance of it flaking in the future and also looks a mess if you know where to look
