Smoke from rear of engine

Hi peeps,my clio 172 seems to be smoking a bit from the rear side of the engine as though there is burning oil. Does anyone have any ideas? Also i have developed a small radiator leak from the bottom passenger side and my heater isnt blowing hot air anymore. Will the system need bleeding/flushing??

When my dephaser pulley failed the seal burst and was dripping oil onto the exhaust below, not enough to cause a fire luckily but enough to smoke.

On my old Megane Coupe the same happened but the cam seal was the issue.

Something will be dripping on the exhaust manifold. Look for something drippy.

does £160 sound about right for a dephaser pulley? cambelt is due also so will get it all done at once. can anyone recommend a good specialist/garage in the north west??

Out of interest can I ask what you mean by that? I'm down south so will never have to deal with them / have no affiliation... Just as they are a CS trader one assumes a good quality of work.

like most things there's a lot of possibles. Could be one of the obvious list like leaking rocker cover or cam seal, but it could be something odd. Mine was smoking from the same place and it turned out to be a leaking inner CV boot spraying grease onto the manifold. Needs investigation to find the cause
