smoking 182

i was coming off an island today with a vectra up my ass and i floored it in second when the revs got to about 4500 i looked im my rear view mirror to watch him dissapear, he did but in more ways than one when it came on cam there was a lot of smoke not blue or black it was like a fog colour (if you know what i mean).

this happened a few time in gears 1-2 and 3 was wondering if it could have been excess oil burning? checked oil and seems normal.

has anybody else had this happen or know what it could be?

Fog.......... sounds like the exhaust water vapour held in the rear box when it rains heavily etc...

i had something similar with the cup the other day, i nailed it and there was a little cloud of something ??, not loads though

wasnt water vapour as it has not got wet for a while and it had just done 30 miles down the m-way

the cars got to go in for a cruise control switch on friday so i might ask the mechanics what they think it was that caused it

Think it might have just been some localised build up in the exhaust mate. My Cup does this from time to time and its just crap in the exhaust.

i think you might be right, it makes sense because it has not been revved hard for a couple of weeks just town driving to day was the first real thrashing and after it smoked a couple of times it hasnt done it again.

there must be no sh*t left in there now

Hehe cool! Sometimes I get this, pootling around town, to the shops, to sinasburys, the station then jump on the D/C and give it some and you can see all this sh*t coming out the back! Hehe!

Saw a vid of a skyline doing this once in a rev and on every shift it squited a cloud of sh*t out.
