Smoking on hard acceleration

Car  RB 182
My 2002 172 has completed nearly 94k now, and past month or so ive noticed it seems to smoke when pushed hard.

Last night i had a bike behind, and gave it a bit of the fun pedal and noticed in his headlight beam smoke - my mate also mentioned it other day

So, are they common for anything going 1st, ie valve stem seals, piston rings etc? Dunno whether to wait for it to get worse or set about a rebuild?

What color is the smoke? It could be even the CAT, an injector, water in the passing to head or oil coming thru the rings. What color it is?
