smoothing side door badges

I was thinking of getting my 16v door badges on my mk2ph2 smoothed and colour coded. Does anyone know how easy it is to smooth them? And what are people's opinions on them?

yeah i would like to know about this to, remove them and smooth it ? or just colour code them, anyone have pictures of them removed?

I find that it looks better without door badges on, so i personally would just take them off, and then sell them to me.

they metal or plastic?

just get the grinder out and grind down the lettering so theres no high bits, then put in a skim of filler, prime and paint.

myself ide smooth them into the actual strip too, like this
