Can be a bit of a pain to get out, worst case is your taking the head off.

I'd douse it in WD40, get out your Torx sockets, find one that fits in the hole tightly, then go up a size (Should be about T50) then bash this on STRAIGHT with a hammer & an extension, try to undo it like that.

I take it you can see into the cylinder? as in the electrode bit has come out, the white bit?

Cheers, yep i tried that today and it will not move one bit, had my mate (mechanic) whos done it before to try and he couldnt budge it either!

iv sprayed a mass load of wd40 onto and around it so will try again tomorrow fingers crossed other wise it getting drilled out

and yes you can see into the cylinder , only bit left is the thread :S

I have managed to remove this part of the plug before using a Snap-on extractor set i have, it looks like this - http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item...&group_ID=1254&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog

You usually use the corresponding drill bit, then hammer in the extractor tool and use the extractor nut to turn out the broken screw thread.

You could try using a cheap set of easy outs like this - http://www.toolcrew.co.uk/catalogue...722&pTitle=Screw+Extractor+Set+5pc+Helix+Type

But in my experience if you do not go big enough with the extractor they usually break in the hole and cause even more problems.

Whatever tool you use to extract it, cover it in Vaseline or grease to catch any odd bits of metal and prevent them from falling into the cylinder.
