Snapped spring?

Right, crack is I'm flogging some Apex springs.

I took my car to a garage I never use and, if I'm honest, overpriced me on what I asked them to fix (rear exhaust mount fitting (not supplying either!) @ £30!). They said when they looked under the car the rear spring had snapped on drivers side.
So I paniced and bought some brand new apex springs and got my mate to fit em instead of paying loads at this garage! He said they weren't snapped at all but as he got the rears off he fitted the new ones anyway.
They definately aren't snapped and the pic shows they aren't either.

But why would the garage say this? I don't want to be flogging defective parts obviously!

second pic is dead,

and is the first pic a pic of the suposidly broken spring?? or the new one??

take the car back, and ask them to point out the broken spring to you on a ramp! just for the lols,
probs telling you theyre snapped so they get a job, do nothing, easy £80 or so, might be worth getting a quote, see how much they were trying to con you out of,

id never use that garage again, and tell everyone else to do the same!

Both pics are pretty much the same. That's the supposedly snapped spring. As you can see it clearly isn't! So I'm right to sell these on aren't I!

They probably saw that you paid £30 to have a exhaust mount fitted (easiest job ever) so thought they'd try it on.
