i have a question to ask. earlier when it was really heavy snow i looked up and it was such a weird sight seeing all that snow just floating in the air. is it posible to catch that on camera because its moving?

  Cupra 300 ST 4drive
A48 Penllergaer Swansea everyone of these cars is stuck!!, LMAO for an hour watching them crash into curbs and each other

Mini tried going up the wrong side of the Island to avoid the stuck fiesta, the bmw estate slid across the road(thats in front of the mini, the car coming down the hill slid the last 60m and hit the BM estate.

The white Berlingo van slid backwards into the L200, and that BM stayed there most of the morning

Have a look at ukaskew's 3d picture, is this what you mean? Am sure you could also free the action, be hard to do, specially with a point and shoot but do-able.

Im not going to quote them all, but some good pics in here.

Halfpint, liking your postbox ones! :)

Cheers Revels. Thats one place i knew i was going to walk to to get a pic. Might go for another wander a bit later as we still have alot of snow on the ground.

Epic 24hrs for us, started last night at 10:30pm, saw the snow falling so decided to make the most of it before work today...

Off we go...

Fresh untouched snow, couldn't see a thing...

Decided to 'leave our mark' so started creating snowmen and various snow monuments all around the area whilst everybody was none the wiser...

One of the finished articles to greet people on their morning commute...

At midnight we called it a day and walked home, went to bed, 6hrs later we were up, other half got a call to say her school was closed, and I checked out my work website to be greeted by...

As it turned out, the most snow in this particular area for 30 years, so we were glad we made the most of it. Lots more forecast tonight, other halfs school is already closed for tomorrow, fingers crossed for me!

Unfortunately I did have to go to work today....but ventured out for 5 mins before hand to get a few snaps.

To say the car was a handful in the snow is a little bit of an understatement.....powerful engine + rear wheel drive + wide tyres (255/35 R18s) = No grip! Took a good 20 mins to drive 4 miles and the roads were pretty empty when I decided to head out.

Some fantastic pics in this thread.

Fletcher and Halfpint your last ones are brilliant.

Cheers fella!

Loving the B&W stuff in particular, might try and give some of mine that treatment later.

I have to agree actually. B&W seems to suit the conditions quite well.

I think this pic would look quite cool if it was B&W with just the postbox in colour. If i was a home id try it but dont have ps on this comp.

Well didn't really think I see this amount of snow in Bristol again so soon....Snowed heavily all night and there is actually more than yesterday. Car is staying put today!

A few photos with a different lens today, although the same subjects!

The main road through our town, a horrible slushy mess still covered in snow. This will remain untreated tonight as Wiltshire are all but out of salt, and temperatures are going to be around -5 tonight. Hmmmm, won't be going out in the car tomorrow morning!
