the car was £800.. had !40,000 miles on it, minus the belts ,in your world its £200.. you can say the engine going is a bonus,he can get a lower mileage one,get everything sorted.
what is going to happen, when these cars are not worth £600,have no belts done,do the owners just give them away?
think its a black one..
where has fred gone too?

be easier just to list what was right with it..Well if they done it
The bumper and grill had only 3 bolts holding it on
A coolant pipe was being hit by clutch due to missing bolt
The aux belt had visible cracks in it the oil was only half full
There was only water in the coolant system
Brake fluid was low enough to trigger light after 30 miles
Fuel rail guard was lose enough to rattle
Battery was not secured
Belt failed after 1000 odd miles according to milage on recipet ( though this could be unrelated )
Cam seal was leaking
That's just off the top of my head.
Feel free to pm me m8.
if you have never owned one before.and have no one to go with you who has,,you are buying blind..you only ready know a car ,if you have owned one .i could stop a rubbish 182 a mile off..with one test drive and 10 minutes looking over it... Hind sight is a wonderful thing. Guess you learn by your mistakes..I wouldn't have bought it full stop!
Good body workwe can all cone your number plates now ha ha

70k engine with brand new belt dephaser water pump done by dan@sjm that aced compression test is ordered
421 manifold and decat cda induction kit titan oil type d coolant and new aux kit new plugs and gearbox oil all ordered aswell.
After it leaves the garage its away for a valet and a machine polish and the wheels refurbed (still not 100% on colour suggest would be nice)
Then it's booked in for June for a rs2 and remap.
Basterd thing owes me a fortune
its looked expensive..
Rich I have a rs2 fitted, car doesn't gain much just drives better :up:It is but cheaper and more reliable than a turbo not as much power as turbo thou
It's sold as seen, it's up to you to make all necessary checks before you hand your money over...
when has anyone took an engine apart,in front of the seller, to check if the belts were done? I think you losing the motogp title has gone to your head.. ha ..Sold as seen does not count if he specifically asked if the belts were done and he lied (and also forged the receipt).
It's the same as mentioning if it's Cat D - You have no obligation to, UNLESS they ask and you must not lie.

the message was for rossi (VR 46)not you.. am replying to his quote and supporting what you said..(the real rossi lost the title, due to kicking a rider off his bike..hence my message...Uh what? MotoGP? I don't even follow bikes o.0 And engine apart? We're talking about receipts and forging them, not proving the work is done. The garage already said they had no record of the car being there.
Put the crack pipe down lol
He can relax for a while now that's done, I think map and dpf delete gives them a nice lump of power and driveabilityI'm not sure on the fridge! But it's a lovely car, although not all that big inside considering the size of the car! His gearbox ate itself a few months back on 99k miles, so he's had dual mass fly, new clutch and refurbed box, it drives nicely now. Next up is a remap I think, he's heard consoderable gains can be made on the 1.9!
So you are getting the engine done at SJM? Good to hear, he is around the corner from where I live.
My modified 182 is my daily driver. My nice weather weekend car is 350bhp of RWD imported fun.
It was an English guy I bought it off, a member on here seen the car in the garage so I guess they don't want to take responsibility for a shitty job or the guy messed with it either or the car ran for over a 1000 miles after I bought it.the message was for rossi (VR 46)not you.. am replying to his quote and supporting what you said..(the real rossi lost the title, due to kicking a rider off his bike..hence my message...
the 1st lesson of the story is.... don't buy a car from a Scottish man.. ha
the 2nd is,if you are going to forge a garage bill, make up a bogus name and write it properly. And not as if you (you as in the person selling the car)have been smoking crack..
new tyres and new engine mapping this year..might be harder for me to make money..heard they are all falling off in testing (was) ..I like marquez ,he did me a few favours last year, marquez was all over rossi for a few races, like he was doing it on purpose.so funny rossi kicking him off,he was all over his leg. He looked at him 1st,like he was saying feck off will you.. ha... it was a good season. its the reason I got BT sport.Klm182 don't even get me started on the whole kick incident, f-ing marquez is a little prick! Cant wait for Rossi to kick his ass next season... Richie you can't go wrong with Dan@sjm, top guy!
and don't buy a car with a garage bill, wrote by marty mcfly..look he was Scottish haI

So I really can't be sure where the blame lies
Lesson learned always have the belts done when you buy a Clio and only let a pro do timing.
Communication with him has been brilliant
From what people say and speaking to him I won't have to worry about engine for a long time
He tested it and it running good and timing dephaser waterpump and clutch are all brand new fitted by him aswell.
First of new parts arrived today
