Thanks In march I'll get them out with the Clio that should make for some good photos.

I don't really know why I didn't want blue I guess with having the v6 in blue I didn't fancy another blue car sat next to that. If I had a choice for a r32 it would have bin red with black leather second choice was grey with the black leather all 3 door. Third choice was silver but it had to have the grey half leather and I didn't mind having 3 or 5 door when this came up it was perfect and 5 door was best with grey leather moving seats back and forward to let people in the back would only mark the seats more. I don't think it was cheap but it wasn't expensive. How many mk4 have bin sold in a vw main dealer in the last 18 months. This being one I think says something for the car and i was given warranty with the car that I had use so that was nice even even thought it was a very cheap part.

That spoiler is epic! Looks really smart. Just a shame the GTI lettering on the boot kind of disappears against the body colour. Could you/would you de-badge it?

Thanks, I can see what you mean but I think I'll leave the badge on for now I'd rather take the stripe off the side.

Yeah you can't de-badge it, I certainly couldn't anyway...... that's really good they gave a warranty on a Mk4 just shows they obviously had confidence in it! I always found VW main dealer service really good though, well at mine anyway, I had a Mk4 GTi 25th Anniversary edition a couple of years ago, petrol turbo in silver and took it there for everything/anything, that was a great car! I always preferred the look of the Anni to the R32, it just doesn't have the engine LOL!

So it's been awhile since I've posted again so a little update. The r32 has been amazing it's took a right beating the last few months. But that's what I got it for. Ended up taking it on another trip across Europe this summer. It was perfect for the trip. It wasn't as much fun as the v6 clio was last year and it didn't turn heads. But it got a spanking and I didn't care if something bad happened to it. So it did its job perfectly.

I'll more than likely sell it in the new year. I am going to spend the winter tidying it up a little. Not that it needs anything I am just being very fussy.

They're just an exceptional daily!

Low mileage well documented examples will/have started to attract five figures already, any big old school V6 thats fairly desirable and being 'last of the mohicans' will always command a premium i reckon.

It's been a cracking car to have for just nipping about and keeping the miles off the others. Seems that the mk4'a have started to go up in value a little bit. Mines not got the best of paper work with it but I know the history of the car so I am not that fussed. I didn't pay over the odds for it. If it's worth keeping in the spring I'll keep it.

Lol it looks ace.

Don't sell it 😧 it's a belting daily, upload those exhaust vids too if you can

We will see Scott what happens I won't be fussed if it goes but it would be nice to keep.

I can't believe the money they command when you've got the Mk5 which is an infinitely nicer and better all rounder imo. The mk4 fell into the "scene tax" bracket unfortunately.

Lovely car though. Really do like it

Mk5 is 100% better to drive but I always wanted a 4 over a 5. I just kind of wish sometimes that I hadn't got silver as the amount of people that think it's a rep. But it's funny when you nail it.

The dreamboat has a point.

The mk4 has started to command a massive price now, rightfully so.

Couldn't before Scott I was in the boat coming back from Ireland but I am home now finally!

So here's a video that Scott took when I was going to his house and a few more photos of the r32 on the rally.

Best colour too .

I kind of hoped no one was going to say anything about the clubsport [emoji22] I did just less than 1000 miles in it and sold it. Never ever thought I'd sell it but something else has come up. It'll mean getting rid of the clio as well. Hopefully next Thursday I'll know more about it. If I can't get what I am hopping to get I will have made a massive mistake [emoji22]

I really really miss it from what I've been told it's on it's way to Hong Kong.

I should have used my deposit that I have still got on a R400 if they were to ever make it and had two myself. I would have kept one and flipped the other one. There's a fair few that have gone to Hong Kong now.

I know it's a mistake but it's replacement should be good hopefully.

Best colour too .

100% it was the best colour but dealers said otherwise. I couldn't stand one in any other colour.
Black doesn't stand out and white makes you look like a chav.

I bet. You didn't lose on it though did you?

I didn't loose anything your right there just a bit of my soul died.

Abarth 500

And I've got
A 335i, c200 and a slk but I've got them purely to sell.

The v6 clio, the Abarth and r32 will more than likely go between now and spring as well.

Come on what are you getting, got to be good with selling all of those...

I'll be keeping the landy and Boxster

The clio and clubsport money will be going to the toy money

The r32 and Abarth are going to daily money the BMW and two merc's have to be put back in to another car to be sold as a bit of a hobby.

But hopefully something good will replace them all.

I'm going to ask, what the f**k do you work as lol.

I do two things. I work for a garden plant export company based in holland.
Then when I am not working for them I doing landscaping projects try to have one on the go every month or every other month.

I like what I do but I don't really ever have a day off and I spend a lot of time away.

That's quite the impressive collection of cars there! Sad to see the Clubsport S go but onwards and upwards eh? As an all-rounder, i think i'd much prefer to have the normal Clubsport. I'm not too keen on the R's either, they just seem a bit too blingy and i hate all that chrome. Impressive performance though.

On a side note, what's the Abarth like? I do keep looking at them from time to time but there's always other cars out there that i'm more drawn to. They do look like a riot to drive though.

Love the golf. Had a lift home in a brand new GTI last night. Such a nice place to be! Very revvy but I'd be taking it to stage 1 sharpish

What an awesome job!

Can't wait to see the new toy!

I've got a date now new you should be here by June. But I've seen a few things about maybe a r400 actually being built now by vw and I've still got money on that so might try to get that as well if it dose get made.

I'd buy a performance pack gti over a normal clubsport. The normal clubsport was to expensive for what it was and the clubsport s was to cheap. Vw could have got away with putting a fair bit more on the S

I'd like a golf r and I had put my name down on r but kept putting it off.

The Abarth isn't anything like other cars I've had. A ex wanted one so I got it for her to drive then we went our different ways but i ended up keeping it.
But it's a fun car for what it is. But the garages our terrible. That's the only thing that puts me off the Abarth. I think with a few little mods it would be a very fun little car I like the pops and bangs it makes.

I've got two friends that have just got new gti's one has already started playing around with his. So I kind of know what you mean. But from standard I think they are a great car.

I dunno, i just prefer the way the Clubsport looks. It's still subtly different to a standard GTI but enough for me to feel like i stand out of the crowd a bit more. I actually ordered a MK7 GTI but had to cancel due to a sudden change of circumstances. I was gutted but the deal was crap anyway so it wouldn't have been a good financial decision regardless.

I live in Manchester and the amount of Golf R's that get stolen in and around the area is pretty frightening. It would definitely put me off some-what but it does appear to be very hit and miss. I think they are probably the one to have but i don't feel like i personally need any more than the GTI already provides.

Fair enough. Yeah, there doesn't seem to be that many specialists about and they are few and far between, it seems. I definitely wouldn't want to take it into an Abarth dealership either! As i said, i like them but there are too many cars that i'd rather have at a similar price point instead.

110% mate the clubsport and clubsport s
look so so much better than a normal gti or r. What I was trying to say is I wouldn't order or buy a normal clubsport as I think they were expensive for what it was and I didn't like the wheels that they came with.

I wouldn't worry about what gets slotlen. That's why we pay insurance and if someone's going to pinch your car they will pinch it. I just wouldn't want it back lol.

Abarth dealers are utter c***s. The one is Chester try to rip people off all the time. First service they said it's needed new discs and pads it had done about 6k they were like new. I've only just change them about 2 months ago as the insides of the discs had started to go a bit s**t but that's from not using the car.
I asked how much they would offer me for it against a c4. They called me to sell me brakes right away but I am still waiting for my price for a c4 and part ex.

But I am glad I've owned one it's fun even if I feel a total t**t driving it.

Can't sell the V6 😧

What have you ordered??

I really won't want to sell the v6 but I've had it 10 years now and the last few years I've kind of fallen out of love for it. I still respect the car I'd keep it up and wrap it up in my unit but I don't have that same buzz anymore for it. I use to get so excited about going to drive in it. I'd think about it for days where to go and think about it. Now I'll jump in it at a random time and enjoy it but not be as excited about it. I am glad I've owned it I am so happy that I took it on a trip across Europe last year as they was my goal with the car.

I know I'll regret selling it I regret selling the club sport but the next car is a different beast altogether. It's not as rare in anyway but it's what I want. It'll drop in value like a stone in value but I don't care. I'll let people know soon what I've ordered.
