Sodding tight grommet hole

  clio 182, both cup packs.
Doing my head in - tried for two hours and failed to feed a 8ga power cable through that grommet behind the glove box. Saw previous threads, on my 182 i've got the bonnet release cable and other wires fed through which leaves me no room whatsoever. I managed to thread a coat hanger wire through, but couldn't even see the exit point in the engine bay. Any help anyone?? I don't wanna have to drill holes.

I had to rip a little hole in the carpet type material under the bonnet to get a power cable through for a sub

You can go round the soundproofing easily enough. Lube the cable up with washing up liquid or vaseline, it'll go through a lot easier. 8awg should piss through.

Thats what I thought mate, but it was as tight as a ducks arse. I'll take the fairy liquid approach instead. Cheers mate
