Dad has just got me this package as a prezzie , i cant have it till crimbo bu apparently it has NOT got a word processor program with it, firstly what are you opinions on the spec and price and can any body confirm if it is likely to have something like ms office thanks for your help

I would upgrade to vista ultimate, it's only £50!!

As for general use, yap, it's top notch, not a bad comp, fine for normal home use...

Regards to office, you will get a 60 day trial on there, you will then need to purchase it or not, up to you.

Office 2007 is well strange

You could always go for something like open office which is free.

Not a Vista fan personally, not until all the niggles are ironed out anyway

But as above, upgrade to the VU package, be wary of Norton...not sure about other people but I hear nightmare stories about it daily.

Other than that, looks ok

Love the new 07 office, works well, get that if you can!

It won't come with Office, it will probably come with 'Works' though, but that's shite.

I use both Office 2003 and 2007. I prefer 2003 for Word / Excel, and 2007 for Outlook tbh.

You can get hold of a 'Copy' of MS Office online if needed
