hi guys hope some one out here can help. had my clio 172 for approx 16 months with no probs. being running with a decat for approx 8 months with no probs what so ever.
until 1 week ago as i was driving the car , it slowed down and limited to max of 3000 rpm with both the engine management light and toxic fume light which is now on all the time.as soon as i stop .turn off then back on it clears but keeeps coming back few days or 30 mins later.:dapprove:

any ideas???:mad: :mad: b4 i go mad. thanks

Secondary lambda sensor?

If it is i think the procedure is to take it out and tape it out of the way, then blank off the hole it was screwed into. that should clear up any problems as it will be 'smelling' fresh air from under the car instead of un-cat'ed fumes inside the exhaust.

thanks i will try.
just changed the pedal sensor and got 3 new faults. it driving me mad.

1. DTC 0045 manifold pressure sensor circuit. presure sensor fault stored.
2.DTC 0254 motorised throttle control. stored fault.
3. DTC 0258 first sensor voltage. manifold pressure pedal track 2 and pressure sensor supply fault.

any one out there got a clue??:dead: :dead:

Sounds to me like sumat to do with throttle assembly and intake manifold/throttle body. Although my knowledge doesn't extend this far at the moment.

1st one is a map sensor, hed one go on my 1.2

if they are the same as the ones on them i have one for sale
