Right, this f**king 172 conversion is doing my nut now, im going bald
The ecu arrived today(thanks paul!) plugged it in, and nothing, so a phone call to paul, and he suggested plugging in the uch etc and running it as if it had an immobiliser, i also put an LED in where the immo led would be.
When IGN is off, it flashes as it would, then goes solid when the ign is turned on...
Crank but no squirt and no spark.
So, check the usual suspects, connections etc etc, Crank sensor returns a resistance of 240 ohms then goes to 245 when put within 1mm of a bit of metal(cant find what the resistance should be?)
Onto the voltage at the Injectors(easiest thing to get to)
IGN off i get 5.47v
IGN on I get 0.37-0.38v
Cranking 0.11v-0.48v
Now, ive spoken to clarkie and he has told me that the injectors shouldnt be live when the ign is off, which i didnt think was right anyway.
But what i wasnt sure about is the voltage when ign on or cranking, he has told me that they should be 12v then earthed when the ecu wants them to fire.
WHat would be causing this mis-match in voltage? ECU goosed? or is it a case of there not being an earth somewhere where there should be?
