Some pc games 'glitchy' - graphics card? Res? Refresh rate?

For example, installed Pro Evo 6 the other night. All menus, intro video, replays run fine, good quality and performance.

However, when playing matches it is slightly glitchy. Not that bad but could and should run smoother.

I checked that my card (ATI Radeon x600) is as good as some listed in the requirements. Running P4 3.2GHz, 1GB Ram.

Refresh rate is 60MHz, res is 1280x1024. Got the graphics card with the default settings at the mo.

Demo of Fifa 08 runs perfectly tho :S

Anyone encountered similar and what you recommend?

Just realised it was a Vertical Sync issue, lot better now
