Some warranty advice please!

mates dynamique just had its first service, 16 months old, purchased brand new, he has been billed for a thermostat? why wouldnt this be covered by warranty?

depends they may say its due to wear and tear,like they did with my back break pads, id only had the car for 4 months and they had crumbled.....cheers james

Did the dealer authorise it before they fitted it and was it questioned at the time y it wasnt warranty? Very poss a invocin mistake if not!

Just an update, mate has had it confirmed in writing from renault that was under warranty, dealer refusing to accept fault, so has given them 14 days to refund him plus interest otherwise will raise small claims action and involve trading standards
