right, you have legal cover, so you can have solicitors acting on your behalf. Get on to them, tell them that you do not think you were in the wrong.
If you have a courtesy car, and the accident is the other persons fault, it is paid for by their insurance. otherwise, you have to pay for it.
Your insurance doesn't cover your car. Your car will be fixed/written off if it isn't your fault, if it does turn out to be your fault, then its up to you to repair or get rid of it. The blame will be down to the insurance companies to sort out.
make sure you write down everything you can remember, time, weather conditions, other vehicles and draw a sketch. its surprising how much you can forget.
The most important thing at the moment is to get on to your insurance to sort out solicitors (solicitors are paid for by your insurance, no matter what happens).
I'm in the middle of a claim at the moment, legal protection is a great thing to have.
