Someone MUST know

Hi guys, i know this is the wrong place to post this but, have you or anyone you knwo fitted a set of 6.5" mids into the door of the new style clio, if so how, PLEASE, im stuck, and dont want to test something and ruin the door car

Any help would be much apreciated

hmmm i wud think tho not sure cos i have a mk1 ud have to either make a decent sized mdf ring for mounting or start cutting metal

if i used an MDF ring would i still b able to use the original covers??, otherwise i think it may be quite tuff to make it good with either cutting the original cover to accomidate the new grille or make a new cover out of mdf, cover in resin and spray ect...

Ps - cant take measurments as waiting for dilivery of the car, but want everything figured out so the car comes and out with old and in with new!!!

i have the 6.5", got them half price the 5.25" were not reduced. I was just hoping that someone would have done it, ive heard that mailto:m@thew">m@thew has, but i cant PM him as his mailbox is full

it is possible but you need to cut away he plastic under the cover and fit a spacer ring to the inner door skin (metal)
