Something just scraped a speedhump

Hi guys,i wonder if you can help me out - i just went over a speedbump in the road and i head something scrape underneath - i got back home and looked under car - this small rod was hanging down near the centre of the car,to the left of the exhaust.

Ive managed to put it back into the slot it was in above but obviously its not fixed there anymore as some of the plastic has broke off - does anyone know what this part is and do i need to get it securely fitted back in?

Ive been going over speedhumps extra careful as ive just had my 182 lowered on Sportlines,but these humps looked higher than normal! :dead:

Ok is that a big problem if it isnt attached to the fixing above and is swinging down? Damn speed bumps - im sure they were over the legal height limit!
