How this can be, something wrong with 182, 197 have some nice upgrades but sill this is to easy...:S:S:S:S

197 is bigger & heavier so cancels out the extra power to some extent, cam timing could be out on the 182

Would of been closer if standing start, the majority of the 197 power is towards the top of the rev range.

The 172 cup is supposedly the quickest out of all the 2 litre clio's on paper I'm lead to believe but it's very marginal.

Well, yes - a standard clio is going to be slower than one with a modified engine.

Standard for standard they are very equal in terms of 172/182/197/200

Too many people either compare one that is substandard, or one that is better than standard, and then think it applies broadly when it doesnt.

a 172 and a 172 are rarely equal, so why expect a 182 and a 197 to be?
