Sony Bravia 26" or Samsung 26"

Basically i can get my hands on a Sony Bravia 26" (freeview, HD, LCD etc etc) for about £420

Which is the better tv?

I quite like the look of the samsung and also the gaming feature it has on it, but would like to know if anyone has any personal experiences?

My mate has a 40" bravia and it's a thing of beauty, the screen is sooo sharp

Yep same panel. I have this Samsung LCD TV and I recommend it. Well worth the money.

I have worked with a lot of different plasmas and lcd screens, the Bravias are crap unless you are watching HD.

Also be careful with TV's that say HD ready or HD compatible. Not all LCD/plasmas can run the full resolution required for HD. The true HD signal received from the sky HD box is scaled down.

Its still better than that of a normal t.v. but it isnt the full HD resolution.

The pioneers plasmas/lcd i have found to give the best picture on HD signal and normal signal.

If I where you If you go for the Sony don't get that version, your better off with either S, V, or W the U version of the Bravia's ain't that good, I've just got the 40" version of the one in the link below, well worth the extra £50 I'll end up paying
