Sony headunit beeping noise?

hi, jsut wondered if anyone knew if it is possible to turn off the beeping noise made by a sony headunit whenever a button is pressed (eg: track skip).

yeah it is, go into the set up menu and turn the beep off

I hate the beep beep beep when you turn the ognition - supposedly a reminder to clip the face off - darn irritating - will only go away if you run all you speakers off an external amp.

No as said before you can turn it off from the setup menu, accessed via the remote.
