sony k850i faulty, help please.

My k850i (fancy cybershot one) has recently lost all ability to text, sending always fails and wont allow you to access inbox, sentbox etc just dispalys "operation failed" have rang o2 and they say have to return it and they cant send a repalcement fone in the meantime.

apparently its a comon fault, has anyone had this and is there any fixes online (official software updates etc) that wont affect my waranty?

I had this problem the other day. Had to reset the whole device to get back working.

Although i have heard rumors that a software update may fix this...

I use a program called MyPhoneExplorer (http://www.fjsoft.at/en/) so luckily had everything sync'd on PC.

Take it to an O2 shop (doesn't matter if it's an O2 online account) and they give you a replacement normal phone in the meantime!

to everybody who has done an update how long did yours stay in the "identification" screen? its been 20 mins now.
