Sony memory stick pro - photo recovery help

my other half got a little sony cyber shot digita camera for xmas.

it come with a 8gb card. when you put it in the camera it came up with a format error and this wouldnt clear when formatting.

so got a brand new sony 2gb memory stick pro duo card. which seemed to work fine, went on holiday to the maldives and my other half took lots of pics.

when to transfer the pics onto computer by just plugging the camera into the computer and nothing. turned the camera on and came up with format error again.

i went and brought a new memory card reader from maplin today and its not picking the card up.

can anyone help?

You could try this, i used it to recover pics that were deleted off of a friends memory card.
