Hi has any1 fitted one of these? Do uhave to take the dash off to do it? i read the please read b4 posting thread but its out of date now as sony have done a stalk and display adapter now. Cheers
which 1 u got m8? cos there is one that is just like a silver box wiv loads wires, one goes to the stalk, one goes to the display, one plugs into the remote socket on the HU and the other goes to the CD changer socket. if it is that one then no u dont hav to take dash off but its a b*****d to fit all the wiring into the dash but can be done. wud be easier wiv dash off i spose
Cheers for that, i bought the autoleads 509 version thingy, but i saw the connect2 aswell. I havent actually taken delivery of the autoleads on yet so i may change it to the other one if you guys think its better!? Also does it work exactly as with the factory headunit? or is there some things it cant do e.g. does pause still work if u press both stalk buttons together at the same time?? Cheers lads.
David, like many others I bought the Connects2UK adapter and I know this one DOES support the "pause" feature (allthough I was told it didnt by a fellow cliosporter) but its not actually a pause it just toruns the volume most of the way down, almost a mute but I think the Sony headunit needs to support this.
I also removed the dash and it made installing things a bit easier, I was able to fix the connects2uk box so that it wouldnt rattle, I also needed to route changer cables tho. If you remove the dash disable the passenger airbag with the key.
Its definitely Sonys idea of mute - it displays AT for attenuate when activated. Pain in the arse how u cant change the volume it mutes to - even though you can do this for the traffic alert.
Also, anyone found a way of changing from "manual" to "list" for tuning the radio?
