Sophos endpoint

Hi,

After everyones comments, I decided to purchase sophos endpoint for the company,

Just about to install it and remove mcafee,

Any recommendations or thoughts?#

It's the best corporate AV product around.. but apart from that?

steps to take?

Removing mcafee?

Installation on all machines via GP or do it through the console?

min spec of console server 2000 server with SP3 and 512ram, in normal user terms, does the spec need to be a lot more?

We push it out to our machines through the sophos console, works spot on, especially if the machines are in AD, saying that we have used the same method for years, before we had AD pushing out to workgroup computers.

Should be quite simple, sophos have great support too if you have any probs.

Console install should be fine.
It should uninstall McAfee (I think it's on the removal list) on installation.

2000 SP3? Get at least SP4 on there.. and I'd say 1GB-2GB RAM just to be safe.

I've had a few issues in the past with removing McAfee also Sophos had problems removing it also.

I have one office with a workgroup of around 40 computers, lets see how I get on with that, don't ask!!!

Nope!!!

That's the thing, big f**k ups, but it's so hard trying to change everything whilst doing everything else!!!!

When I change it, that's going to mess up the VPN's, exchange, the relays (printer scanning) and so much!!!!

Hate it !!!!

Don't think the people knew what reserved ranges where!!

To make things worse, we have been blacklisted today on 3 lists !!!! (down to one woooohooo)

excellent product, got recommended it off here too. Running it on about 150 machines and it works flawlessly. Small footprint too and easily manageable.
