Just want to ask an ICE question as it takes like a day for answers in ICE section. I'm after a wiring kit for my 400watt rms amp/sub.

Is it true the lower the gauge the better it is ie the cable thicker giving better quality.

if so then How come http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/valu...61c279ba90a8ca is cheaper than some 8 gauge ones? Surley should be more as its less gauge.

depends on the material that makes up the wire, silver, gold etc.

better materials higher price not necessary the guage number.

for 400 rms 8guage will be fine anything else is over kill , 4 guage wont better or worsen the sound quality but its alot more of a ball ache to fit and you will find the terminals on the amp arnt design for it

get what ever is cheapest power cable wise, but you will need some good quality RCA leads
