I meant to post about this a few days ago, I've actually been to see the shagger with it being up the road from me.
The motor does turn with a jump pack attached, however won't fire, the surround behind the steering wheel is off and the wiring has definitely been f**ked with, original key and barrel is in the boot! Engine and box is 182, there are some phase 1 engine bits in the boot along with two head gasket sets both bottom end pattern rubbish, there is a bag of lifters in the boot too so some engine mishap has occurred at some point. Its got a huge chav cannon hanging off the back with a riveted plate ruining the rear bumper.
Front of the car is from a silver and black donor, wings bonnet and bumper have all been sprayed badly, chassis legs look straight but panel gaps aren't great on the front. There is major rust under the rubber water channel that runs above the door, so the top of the A pillar if that makes sense. Really major rust is at the rear, the panel where the boot hinges too is rotten, the part of the panel that has the rubber gromits in it taking the wiring from boot lid to car has gone, totally rotten and soft, if I pushed any harder I would have made holes 🤣 funnily enough though the sills are decent, had a good prod and pull underneath and they look relatively solid. Windscreen is smashed, has dodgy lexus style rear lights, he has a set if dynamique alloys for it and a 182 exhaust he was wanting to package in.
It's been plugged in and has a few codes relating to o2 sensors but nothing pointing to a none start issue so makes me wonder if someones bodged a 182 loom in with the engine swap.
I had arranged a buy it now price with the seller and was arranging my recovery man for next few days, however he has ceased all contact now so proceed with caution chaps. It would be lovely if someone could save it but I think realistically it wants stripping to a shell and a hell of a lot of welding work done followed by possibly some chassis straightening to line those panels back up.
Forgot to also mention the fuse box lid was off and and just looked different to my phase 1 fuse box, not sure if it was missing a few or a 182 one is different or in just being a mong 🤷♀️
Oh and bonus ball, it's full of mold!
