Sorted the knocking noise!!!

For the numourous daily posts of people that have knocking noises from their wheels when turning on full lock!!

Purchased a driveshaft from scrappy for 30 notes and got it fitted for a further 30, knocking problem sorted!! good as new

cheers dude, my garage is ace, I had a metal valve cap that was seized on and he also replaced the whole valve for a quid!!

Yer, on monday morning I am booked in to have me Cat taken off, charging me 40 notes and when it comes to MOT time he will swap it for the day for just a tenner, yay

yea took it to him b4 he buggered my gaitor on my driveshaft so thats why ive gotta hav a new un!

Oh rite, never had no problems, sorted out my knocking anyway, where u get ur shaft frm?

bought it from renault specialists ages ago, when i bought my airbags. decided enough knocking and its time to put this one on!

You think 40 notes to take a cat off, then 10 to put it back on is cheap? its a 5 minute job,each way

What was wrong with the drive shaft? probably just a split gator, £5 pound for a new one...

CV joint knackered inside, yes its a five minute job for somebody with the right tools, i.e. pipe bending faciliies

I have no such pipe bending facilites, what are you talking about?

well to take the Cat off, replace it with a custom one will need pipe bending facilities, quick release brackets welded on so MOT time will be a doddle

I think 40 quid is very reasonable for that amount of work though, what u think??

Not sure what decat you have or how its put on, but mine just bolts straight on, 4 bolts in total, 2 each side, thats why i said i didnt think it was worth the said amount, but if its a custom jobbie then i have no clue. If you think the work involved warrents £40, then it probably is...

mines doing the same when moving the steering wheel etc etc really anoying how much do these cost from renault each side cheers guys

a driveshaft from renault cost bout £180 i think as my mate got one quite recently
