Spacer fitting

  UR R26R.5, VW Golf R
Quick query, probably covered but far too many spacer threads to pin-point answer:

Copper grease or similar prior to fitting hubcentric spacers?

Cheers.

I just made sure the hub was clean using wire brush didn't know you were meant to put any form of grease on

Neither did I mate, but before they arrive I want to know for sure if it's advisable or not.

Logic suggests it would be wise, certainly for maintenance or removal purposes.

Yea slap a thin layer across the whole face of the hub/back of the spacer.

I've had one get stuck before so just always do it now!

should always use copper slip on the mounting faces to stop them ceasing and it makes maintenance easier so you dont get stuck with little thinks like struggling to get the wheels off, little things that go a long way !

Sorry to hijack but what spacers have you ordered chap?

Do you mean me? I've ordered the same ones as Ch!ppen had on his:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-C...Wheels_tyres_Trim_Nuts_ET&hash=item45f7f1aa84

He had 15mm on the back and 20mm on the front, but I went for 15mm all round. They arrived today so I had a gander and they look decent. Got the extended bolts with the kit as it states.

Bit more expensive than the FK's but I wasn't too concerned about paying that little bit more.
