Spacers with ASTs - What size will rub?

I want to order some spacers so I can fix my PMS studs into these rather than the hubs.

But I'm not sure what size to go for, what's safe, what might cause my tyres to rub on the arches etc.

I've got ASTs yet to be fitted and will be going with the maximum camber these allow (not camber bolts too as I've heard these can knock out)

Will also be going with a good setup from the likes of Mark Fish or similar local place - so I'm not sure how the height will be just yet either..

So does anyone also have ASTs and spacers. If so what sizes do you run and do you get any rubbing issues?

Was thinking 20mm on the front and 15mm on the rears. Bolt to hub type. Then secure my PMS studs into these.

Not that it matters but was thinking H&R for the brand as I run these on another car and they've cause no problems.

Cheers for any input chaps.

i currently run 15mm front and 10mm rears with cup offset turini's and eibach springs on cup shocks on the 182. no rubbing.

however this is road use, not track, so its hard to say really. the track car gets some rub but that's on its bottom with full 172 front end and fat as fcuk slick son et37 wheels. my cure is to let the tyres wear the bumper away, rofl!!

Haha!

I'm hoping to not have any rubbing.

Maybe 15mm front and 10mm rear would be better.

But then is a 15mm spacer thick enough to safely support studs. 10mm rear would have to be the slide over type.

I probably wouldn't use bolt to hub style with a stud kit, slip on's would be safer. I use 16mm spacers on the front and none currently on the rear with et35 wheels, I also use the elite developments stud (basically the same as the pms kit) as you get the choose what stud length you what. They sell the kit via there website and on eBay.

I used to run similar on the turbo, I had 15mm rear spacers with longer stud and nut kit and worked great, so same could be applied to the 10mm for sure

We get slight rubbing on our 182 on 205/50/15 tyres with no spacers, it just catches the arch liners slightly.

Its very dependant on height.

Been looking into it and I agree, think this is what i'll be doing. My studs allow a 16mm spacer. So i'll probably go for 15mm front and 10mm rear. Or maybe 10mm all round.

You ran 15mm rear but what about the front chap?

Oh really ok cool. My tyres are 195 so gives a bit more scope.

But thinking 10mm or 15mm front now and 10mm rear. Should make a small visual difference without causing any problems.

Do people normally run more track width at the front or the rear? No idea what's better....

front on the turbo was 20mm bolt ons chap on standard very narrow valver track.

I used this setup on trackdays too with no issues etc

most of the info I'm providing is obviously fairly useless to you though mate unfortunately as it applies to setup on mk1 Clios.

Still helps me make judgment so it's all good.
