Where abouts is it located and which is the best way to gain access to it? I'm going to give it a clean up and see if it helps any with my sticking starter problem.
inlet plenum off
Lots of leaning over and back ache because it's under the exhaust manifold. You'll see there's a little heat sheild on it which just pulls off.
I find you need to undo the exhaust manifold and move it away from the engine to get clearance to get the heat shield off.I can't get the heat shield off?
See them for sale for about £15. How does it get fixed round the starter? I can only assume that Renault didn't bother refitting my heat shield when they replaced my engine 6 years ago.Get a heat shield put on it as heat is not good for it
Cheers, searched some other threads looks like it's a pig to fit. Will buy one for the next time I feel like I need a challenge. LolIt clips on, there is a clip built in to the rear of the heat shield
