Spare Tyre Size...Help

I currently have 17's on my mk2 ph2 dynamique, but still have a dynamique alloy in the boot, i think the overall difference between the two is about an inch .

Will this make me fail my MOT?

And will it damage my car over a short distance if needed to change?

Nope some cars have spacer savers which are even smaller.

It has to be legal. I.e fit for the road not bald or flat or any defects. If unsure take the spare out.

no its fit for purpose, i just wondered whether different size to the others would matter?
