spare wheel on new alloys..>

does everyone buy 5 instead of 4 because of spare wheel? and if you get a flat then do you put your 16" on with three 17" just until you get a new tire? cos if i buy new alloys i need to know if i should get 4 or five? but dont want to spend anymore than i have too. also looking at The superleggera on performance alloy website, what wheel size should i need? 17 X 7 or 17 X 8 and i dont want tolose any speed so i need lowprofile wider so as to improve grip but not deminish speed?

(sorry for such a boring post)

just use a 13" steelie for u spare. Buy 4 alloys, dont wanna lob a huge heavy alloy under ur car - will slow it down and no need. The suspension will take out the ride difference. It will get u home. But get ur alloy back on asap.

what is the lighest 13" 14" wheel.. for weight reduction could i get a ligh allo? wouldnt that be lighter than a steelie? like a 14" super lig from OZ or sommat?

thanks for your quick answer M8

you only need 4 remember the 16 has a larger profile tyre, so if you have a flat youll be ok to get home with the 16 on

DONT GET 17X8 they will scrub to buggery!!!!

you want 17x7s with 205/40 17s ET37

ohh yea! that right i can use my existing 16". Fred2001Dynamic can i fit 17x7s with 205/40 17s ET37 to the oz superleggera 17" 17 x 7 (sounds very dumb but i have to be sure) and also more importantly what tyre would you recommend? i like pirelli and continetal, i wont be doing track days. I dont want to lose speed either. Lee_172 has the same alloys
