Spare wheel

  300bhp MR2 Turbo

As my spare wheel is totally fcuking useless whats the law on me taking it out?

Will I need one of those bottle thingys to carry around that the cups use?

If I get a puncture it will be an RAC job as have 17s with a 15" spare!

Then theres the fact I dont have the original jack!

All in all the wheels just weighing me down!

U Dont have to have a spare for the MOT.

But if you do it has to have road legal tread on.

Cant be a requirement by law, otherwise reno couldnt sell the cup and 182! If i remember correctly, in my beetle the MOT peeps said that if you have one it must be legal tread.

I didnt know you could get rid of legally! That should meake my baby a little less heavy and a little quicker (not noticably of course) Vrum Vrum! :D

The cup has a cannister of pressurised air with sealent so if you get a minor puncture you can re-inflate the tyre to get you home/garaged as opposed to a spare.

Takin my spare out tonight then!

Thats a fair bit of the weight of my ice compensated for then!

Exactly, if it was illegal not too renault couldnt supply car without them. Law isnt going to be specific enough to say "You must carry a cannister of sealant". Although you would be risking it without one, so go to halfords and get yourself a can of Tyreweld!
