Spark Plugs 1.2 16v 53 + oil warning + service light

  Fiesta ST
i had my 36000 service, and the spark plugs were changed and its been about 1000 miles since is started being homosexual, it first happened when i washed the car i was filling up the water tank for the washer jets and thought i might of sprayed something, and when i started the car the oil warning light was flashing on the hud, and the serv light was on, so i turned it off and checked the oil level and it was full, started the car again 10 mins later and it was fine, its done it to me a couple of times since,
i asked renault what was going on with it, and they said that if you put different spark plugs in it itl mess with the car some eletric fields or something they claimed, and that you have to have renault spark plugs in it?

anybody else had anything similiar, and is renault on the right lies or trying to feed me a bag off lies?

thanks

no its not a oil warning light, but when i turn the car on where the miles are it normall says --oil--ok-- something like that

but it flashes oil -------- i thnk which i guess means that its saying the levels low, but i cant work out why the service light comes on aswell? thanks mate

Had the same problems, mine hit the 36k mile marker but is yet to be serviced. Had power loss and rough engine tickover about 2k miles ago, flashing emissions light was on to start with, after driving home this light became solid. No idea what renault use for spark plugs, but if its any help i replaced all 4 of mine with NGK plugs. solved the problem with the engine and corrected the warning light. Think it came to just over 20 quid. may be worth a go.

Cure for the oil light was just topping it up with some texaco havoline, no idea how good it is, but putting one litre of that in did the job.

It was after i did both of these things that the service light went off.
