Spark plugs removal

Anyone know how to remove the spark plugs on a 1.2 Clio 16v 2003? I have a 10mm 3/8 socket. But can't get it down the hole. This is what my engine looks like. Looking down the hole I don't even know if I can see the nuts for the sockets to go on. Made me think I had to remove the circular thing in there too.

Have you removed the leads?

Pull the HT leads and get a 16mm deep socket or a spark plug socket.

Yeah pulled the plugs out, 10mm socket doesn't fit down the hole so unlikely a 16mm would either.

Hi, yes pull the ht leads up by the plastic body not the lead! Then you need a 14mm spark plug socket not the common 16mm one. You can buy the socket online. Give me a shout if you want a link to the right one.

So how come the 10mm socket doesn't go down there? Link would be appreciated please mate.

Ah I understand there's an outside size and an inner I guess the 14mm is actually 8mm in correlation to the 10mm
