Spark plugs

  1*4 phhslow
Hi this might sound stupid lol... have a problem with my clio basically what would seem a loss of power at puling away and puttin foot down vibrates alot and all that... so i read the forum on the engine mounts so i checked them but it wernt that as it all seems fine plenty of rubber there.. then turned my engine on and decided to do a spark plug test so i started at the right hand side and un plugged it and then engine pitch went down... when onto the next one and the engine cut out.. next one cut out .. then the last one near the oil thing went down in pitch... could i need to replace my spark plugs ??? what would be the cause of the problem with the vibration and lack of power ....
sorry for the essay

hello mate i have had a prob with my clio same as your model... you left a post about having to change your spark plugs in yours i think i need to do mine as my whole car is rockin it seems and the exhaust puffs do you reakon i need to change mine and is this what ures did ????
tom
hi mate rocking yes but puffing no??

Im not a mechanic but turned out mine was an ignition coil cost 80 pounds to replace but yours sounds like an exhaust problem. Mine sounded diesely and the gearbox rocked in neutral and when you were straining the gear.

Hope this helps

yes that is exactly what mine is doing rocking in neutral and just sitting in a que and very diesely..... notised something else though i also had oil in my left spark plug and there is oil all around the top were the yellow oil plug is so i am hopping that its not a rocker cover crack or a piston gone  and just hope it is an ignition coil ... did you change yours yourself??? if so is it easy enough to do ???
cheers tom

It wll be the coil pack check you plugs you might be worth chnageing them if the coil pack has gone as they'll be dirty.

I woulnd't worry about the oil to it it takes 7 hours the cambelt is chnaged etc its a big job quite common though.

Coil packs easy to chnage.

changed two coils in the middle and no change still jumps and doesnt pull away or anything just vibrates and accelerates slowly ! got a mechanic to look at it and he said it aint you coils it might be your pressure as it not feeding enough fuel in or something and if thats not wrong get ure ecu looked at as it might be on its way out or get it re mapped ??? chances of it being that though ????
