Spark plugs

I noticed k-tec have ngk racing competition spark plugs on there website, these are a fair bit cheaper than the standard ngk platinum plugs?

I would have thought the racing ones would be better, am i wrong?

Are the racing ones platinum?

AFAIK, thats what makes them 'spensive.
