Spark Plugs

  2010 Jetta TDi 140
After taking the engine cover off the other day, I decided to clean all the old oil that had been spilled from previous owners when topping the oil up.

As I had the inlet off, I thought I may as well take a look at the spark plugs to see how they looked (replaced in the service in February with the correct NGK plugs)

When I got the first one out, I didn't think it looked too healthy. Any opinions on the pic? It looks to have been getting too hot to me but I'm no expert.

Thanks.

i cant comment specifically but if you have a old haynes manual there was a section in the back which explains what the colour and condition of your plug means.

If sideways danny says they are fine then they will be - he is the expert :)
