Speaker help needed

Ive replaced the standard cup speakers with 4 JBL GTO 525es expecting them to sound much better. TO be honest I can hardly tell the difference. They go a bit louder but theres no more bass or depth than before.

Im still using the original head unit until my new one arrives. Is this the problem or should they sounds better regardless??

Eh up mate. You will probably find they are nicely reproducing the crap sound from the old HU. Youll notice a difference when the new HU comes.

Sorry to ask the obvious but you got the + and - the right way round I take it?

yeh I checked the polarity carefully.

thats nice mate. the standard speakers in mine i think were only 11 watt i changed them 4 combined 200 watts speakers with a new headunit an i cant notice any difference whatsoever

see how your saying u defo got positive an negative the right was can i put it in wrong,im realy cant remember but just thought it was a clip that only went in one way
