Speaker Problem

  Clio 190bhp Hybrid

I have MB Quart QM 216.81 speakers in the front and today teh left 6.5 inch driver seems to have stopped working. All I got is movement and a crap noise from bass when the volume is turned up. Seperate tweeter is fine. As is drivers side driver and tweeter.

Speakers are run off a 4 ch Denon DCA760BL amp with one channel to each driver and one channel to each tweeter.

Anyone know what the problem may be as its too dark to investigate now and not sure if its gonna be major. Thinking loose connection hopefully rather than problem with amp, crossover or driver.

Shouldnt have thought the speaker would have blown as they are rated at quite a high power and the amp although good would not exceed that. Dont bang it out too much either.

Would appreciate any help.

I would check all the connections, and make sure the insulationon the cable aint rubbed off and thet cable aint grounding on the car body, not knowing much about amps that all i can think that it is.

Thanks,

Hoping it is nothing too major so will be having the 6.5 inch speaker out and checking all connections. May swap left and right speakers over too to see if it is the speaker or not.

Cant do it till saturday and its already bugging me. Hate these dark nights.....
