Speaker Sizes...

5¼" is that equal to 13cm?

Looking on the ruler I got here, I am not too sure.

Reason I ask is because I am looking to replace the Pioneer speakers I got in the doors, and rear door cars of the Clio.

Can see a good JBL package I got my eyes on.

I replaced my original clio door speakers with Infinity 5002i 13cm two way speakers. They were a straight swop and the sound difference was amazing for such a simple task. And what's more, cos Infinity have a new series of speakers out I got these for 30 quid for the pair from Halfords! Bargain!

Yeah can see them on the Halfords Website.

I currently got 2 pairs of Pioneer TS-G1318 Speakers, I know they are nothing special. But would 2 pairs of Infinity 5002i speakers sound better, when I get my Alpine CDA-9812RB head unit fitted tomorrow?

OK another question. Can see the following info on the Pioneer and Infinity:

Pionner

130w maximum power input
25w RMS power input

40 - 22,000Hz frequency range

Infinity

2-way coaxial speaker
135w maximum power input
45w RMS power input

70 -20,000Hz frequency range

The text in bold, whats the difference between Power input & RMS power input?

I will Google it in the meantime, but any replies would be great.

The infinity speakers will definitely sound better than the Pioneers you already have. Don't expect ear drum bursting sound but defnitely an improvement for the price. The best speakers to get are component sets but if you want real power you'll need to pay a lot for a set of these and ideally run them off an amp. Never the less, the infinity speakers for the price are perfect - the tweeter in the middle of them spins around so you can direct it upwards into the seats and if you leave your original dash tweeters installed the sound quality is very good. As for the figures on the speakers, the infinities are slightly more powerful but generally just a much better speaker. Hope this helps!

Bugger Halfords didn't have any of the Infinity 5002i speakers in stock, cuz they are last years model. However when I was browsing the store, my other half pointed some Fli speakers out. The ones he showed me were the Fli - 5

Fli - Integrator 5

3-way coaxial speaker
180w maximum power input
60w RMS power input
80 -20,000Hz frequency range

Compared too:

Infinity

2-way coaxial speaker
135w maximum power input
45w RMS power input
70 -20,000Hz frequency range

So I got 2 sets of 2, and replaced the $hitty Pioneer TS-G1318 Speakers ones I had. Also with the Alpine CDA-9812RB installed earlier, the tunes are sounding not bad at all.

Next thing on my shopping list is a decent sub & amp - Yay!

  One with a few more
In all honesty, neither. The 'FLI' ones sound hideous, and you can do better than infinity for the price
Caraudiodirect would have been by far the best bet

Well prices are different on the Fli.

Halfords: £30

Caraudiodirect: £24.99

They do sound good tho, much better than those Pioneer ones I had.

You can't really diss Infinity speakers - they're really good speakers I've got a lot of experience with them. They may cost a little more but they last 5 times longer than many of these cheaper brands that sound great when they work but they just don't last. I've seen the Fli speakers - they're very good for the price - good buy mate! Are u chuffed with your new system?

Yeh am happy with the system. Just need to get an Amp and Sub sometime soon. Boyf is impressed with the new Head Unit, he couldn't stop messing about with it when I was driving earlier.
