Speaker upgrade

Any good??? Was gonna get these then get some sound deadening, sound like a good idea?
Only have it loud enough so can park car up, sit outside and hear clearly, really that all i want then for.
Days over the park with mates etc......

What head unit have you got?

If you've got the standard renault one then you'd be better off replacing that before getting new speakers.

Std HU + aftermarket speakers = no difference [in my opinion]

Got myself an aftermarket head unit. Got 55watt x 4 output on it.

why sound deadning when your not even bothering the amp the components your getting!

Youd be better off amping them and then getting sound deadning as your just wasting the components without amping them. As the head unit aint guna cut the mustard!

i've got those speakers running on an oldskool alpine 60watt head unit and it sounds good but my head unit has adjustable frequency cut offs so the speakers are not working harder than they need too. far better than standard. wouldn't bother with a standard hu though

I was thinking about getting a different HU anyway. This came with the car, when i bought it a couple of months ago. Last owner wanted to play mp3 disks....

So amping it sounds ok. But i can only add like 50 Watts a channel, with those speakers and that HU. So what Amp would be good??? Also can i put it somewhere like under the glove compartment, next to the thing with like 1,000,000 cables in it. As i have one under my passenger seat, powering my sub.

Any other suggestions welcome.
